This figurine comes from a Currier and Ives lithograph, "Central Park Winter, The Skaing Pond," dated 1862 according to Dick Hunt, author of "The Goebel Miniatures of Robert Olszewski. In the Currier and Ives picture, there was a large crowd of people in the park, but Olszewski elected to use only the two in this figurine.
