Historical Series "Moor with Spanish Horse"

Created by Olszewski for his Historical Series produced by Goebel Miniatures

This is similar to a Meissen porcelain figurine by master modeler Johann J. Kaendler (circa 1740) which Olszewski copied from a small, black and white photograph. He did not actually see the original figurine until February 1989, so the colors and much detail are Olszewski's interpretations in this piece. Moor with Spanish Horse was issued only in 1984 at the issue price of $85.00. It carries the design mark of 603-P. The image shows the size of the piece and the intricate design being held by the model's fingers.
